Open, closed or room divider
Open shelving is perfect for displaying books and decorative pieces and, placed in the middle of a room, works as a light divider. Bookcases with doors or drawers combine display and hidden storage. Wall shelves make the most of small spaces.
Size and stability
Check the ceiling height and the depth you need: 30-35 cm is enough for books, while larger objects need a little more. For tall units, fixing them to the wall adds extra safety.
How to style it
Alternate vertical and horizontal books, leave some empty space so it can breathe, and add plants, baskets or figures. Repeating materials and colours brings unity to the whole.
